Decalcomanie

Chungm.artcompany에서 진행하는 이번 개인전,는 우리 주변의 다양한 사랑의 

형태를 서로 다른 듯 닮아있는 사물들에 비유하였으며 

그림마다 다채로운 이야기들을 담아 시각적으로 표현했다.

다수의 작품 속에는 백조,나비,의자와 같은 늘 작가의 심미적 기준이 되어주는 대상들이 등장 하는데 이를 새롭게 재해석하고

 분해하여 다른 형태와 함께 조합하는 방식을 통해 결국 모든 대상은 작가의 애(愛)속 에서 서로를 비추어보며 상통하는 이미지로써 ‘Decalcomanie’라는 의미로 표현되었다.

이번 전시를 통해 작품 속 주체가 되는 사물들을‘The portrait of a lady’시리즈로 전개하 였으며, 이는 지난 전시 주제였던 ’houseguest’와 연계되는 

프로젝트다 호스트 역할로써 관람객을 맞이하는 대상이 되었던 사물들을 보다 더 자립된 형태로 각자의 고유성을 뚜렷이 담아 표현했다.

Introduction

The solo exhibition  compares many different forms of love around us to objects that resemble each other and visually expresses various stories in each art work.

In those art works, the artist uses various objects that gives her aesthetic standards such as swans, butterflies, and chairs. Through a reinterpretation of those objects and combining it with other forms, all those objects are expressed as 'decalcomanie' as they reflect each other in the artist's love.

Through this exhibition, the main objects in the art work were developed into the 'portrait of a lady' series, which is a project linked to the last exhibition theme, 'houseguest'. The objects that were welcoming visitors as hosts in the last exhibition are now clearly expressed in a more independent form.
